There aren't enough stars for this gem! This is a cozy, intimate restaurant with a small outdoor covered patio. The cocktails are lovingly, hand crafted. It was difficult to choose what to order to eat because each choice sounded as delectable as the last. Order a bit of every course but save room for dessert! We were vacationing, but we'd go out of our way to get back here!

The food is incredible — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was a hit. The creme brulee is hands down the best I’ve ever had and I order it every time I dine in!! The staff is warm, friendly, and really knowledgeable about the menu. We came for our anniversary last year and again this year (this past weekend), as well as my birthday last summer, and Chef Guillaume and his team always go above and beyond to make it a memorable dining experience. We just had Nigel as our waiter this past weekend and he was fantastic! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate in the best way. It’s a smaller space, but beautifully designed — modern and contemporary while still feeling relaxed and special. This place is a true gem in CT and I can’t wait to go back very soon!!!

You will feel like you are in Paris in this lovely bistro with amazing French cuisine. We had the special pork shoulder and filet of sole with Swiss chard. Amazing and the delicious. Rodney our server was super professional. The escargot was tasty and the dessert divine. Atmosphere and decor was authentic to the name. I just cannot rave enough about this gem. You will need a reservation because it’s a local favorite but well worth it.

We visited Bar Bouchee in Madison, Connecticut for our wedding anniversary. My husband had the hanger steak and I had the pan-seared trout. Both were cooked to perfection, boasting incredible flavors that showcased the chef's expertise. The dishes were beautifully presented, demonstrating the restaurant's dedication to both taste and aesthetics. The watermelon cocktail special was a refreshing revelation, with its sweet and tangy notes, making it an ideal accompaniment to the meal. The staff's friendly demeanor and attentiveness further enhanced our dining experience. Notably, when we got caught in the rain, they went above and beyond by providing us with a towel, which truly demonstrated their commitment to customer care. Now, let's talk about the creme brulee—this dessert was the perfect finale to an already outstanding meal. The silky smooth custard topped with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust left us wanting more. It’s not too sweet and just perfectly right. Apart from the delectable food, the atmosphere is captivating. The ambiance exudes a charming blend of elements, creating a relaxing and inviting environment for guests. The attentive and welcoming hostesses further added to the warm and cozy vibe of the restaurant. This restaurant provides a truly memorable dining journey. A must-visit for any food enthusiast or those seeking an extraordinary gastronomic adventure.

Wife and I had a fabulous anniversary dinner 4:30 last nite 6/1/25 at this great French Bistro with authentic decor. Truly feels like you’re in France. Olivia was our excellent server. Our choices: Bubbly, white burgundy wine, white & green asparagus salad, mussels, escargot, butter and French bread, soft shell crab, sea bass, profiteroles...all set up, served and cooked to perfection...We highly recommend this place

Went the day before Valentines Day. Less pretentious, more relaxed . Food was comfort food with a classic French emphasis. We enjoyed both our meals. Service was spot on and noninvasive. Be prepared to spend a bit but worth it. . Engaged in light conversation with other diners. Enclosed patio area is heated and mild swings in temp added to the atmosphere. A very nice experience.

We had a lovely dinner on the heated patio. The food was delightful. Our table shared an array of appetizers and desserts My entree, the chicken was delicious. I also loved the potato side and the mushrooms. The service was delightful, unrushed and friendly. We lingered over our dinner for over two hours. The creme brulee was perfection, with a light texture and balanced citrus flavor. A perfect location for a special occasion

I’ve never had a bad meal or service here. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. My only gripe is that I wish the restaurant was larger as oftentimes it’s full. Experienced staff. Their croque madame is better than any I had in France.
